Does your flash have a manual and auto setting or what? In auto mode, you can usually alter the unit's power by changing the film speed on the flash i.e. if you have 100 iso film in the camera, and the correct ambient exposure is 125 at f8 if you tell your flash you are at f8 with 400 iso film you should be minus 2 stops fill. If you can't do that then slower film to get you into the range where you have the flexibility or bounce or gel the flash Ken > -----Original Message----- > From: Five Senses Productions [SMTP:fls@5senses.com] > Sent: Wednesday, May 13, 1998 2:50 PM > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us; leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Subject: Re: [Leica] no one can help on this one? > > 1/50 @ f/11 is not the ambient exposure....it is the FLASH exposure I am > getting. > I see that fill should be f/6.3 when 1/50 @ f/11 is the flash exposure, > but > if the > flash only has one output setting, then gels or softboxes are my only > option > unless I get a more modern flash that does fill, right? > > > > Francesco Sanfilippo, > Five Senses Productions > webmaster@5senses.com > > > http://www.5senses.com/
