At least, you would not be bothered with the metering indications in the viewfinder! That's the reason why I loved the Nikon F! You could use the camera without turning the metering system on, keep it off and do you metering! With most of the other cameras, either the film advance lever or the shutter realease button will turn the metering on and drain you attention, even if you don't want it! Basically, you are both saying that the M6 metering is useless or at least not worth to be used. However, I would like to know how you are measuring light with your handheld exposure meters. I understand that incident metering is great and that's what I'm doing when I shoot (!) people or indoor. But, how do you proceed to shoot, say, landscapes? Thanks and great exposures! Thib.
