That's exactly the reason so many pros left Leica. If you have to ad to your Leica equipment a F5 or a EOS1n to get those pictures the L is incapable to, you normaly end up by sticking with these and dumping the L stuff. I agree with Stephen Gandy that one has to demand the best from Leica. There were already some mails on this list saying 'hey, I got the R8 winder, and mine is number 123' or so. That tells the R8 winder is not missing in action but missing on the sideboards of collectors.
