Subject: Re: [Leica] Off-topic: what b/w films should I use?

I've been away from the marketplace for such critters so the products
may no longer be manufactured.

Polaroid offers (or offered) a 35mm b&w tranparency film that (1)was
slow, (2)required the special processing device and (3) was rather
finicky, as are most Polaroid products, about temperature of the
film and environment while processing. The film was also delicate
and far more susceptible to scratches than "normal" film. Also,
Kodak offers a positive processing kit for its TMax 100 emulsion
which, for this purpose, must be exposed at EI 50.
