Ernesto (& Guido), When I was married 6 1/2 years ago, the families all were asking (clamoring!) for color photos. Although I conceded to some extent, I insisted that the photos at the church and some others be in black & white. My reasoning was simple: I intend to stay married. :-) I pointed out the little disclaimer on the boxes of color film, and translated it as "All color film is guaranteed to fade in time." As it turned out, the families were wowed by the power of the black & white pictures, simply for their beauty. And now that we have a new baby, he'll be able to see his parents' wedding pictures as they should be seen. The main photographer was a former student of mine (she did a great job), and several photographer friends brought their Leicas to add to the occasion. It was tempting to do otherwise, but I didn't pick up my own M6 til the reception. (I suppose I could have told them about putting color originals on CD for long-term storage, but I don't feel particularly guilty.) ;-) Bill Bill Barrett St. Louis barrettb@webster.edu (preferred address for personal mail) http://www.webster.edu/~barrettb
