In the Northwest we have a company called Lazer-Quick that will scan them for about $.79 each and you can get about 100 images on a disk with 4 different resolutions of each image. I have a friend that has had them scan 1000's at that price and never had a problem with the originals coming back in less than perfect condition. As an aside, I noticed in a recent Ritz Camera ad in one of the national photo mags ( Peterson's Photographic?) a listing for the Kodak portable photo CD player with all of the goodies at a close-out price of $79. That is a very good price as Kodak originally wanted close to $300 for that package before they got out that market. The # is N2000 and it works great. You can play regular music CD's as well as show the images of your photo CD's on a regular TV set. It comes with a remote and you can take it to Aunt Martha's, plug it into her TV and have a slide show without all of the hassle of setting up the projector etc. The images that are scanned onto the CD can be manipulated with any of the photo re-touching programs and printed out in the usual ways. Hope this helps. Cheers, David Medley Whidbey Is. WA USA dmedley@whidbey.net - ---------- > From: Richard W.
