Subject: [Leica] Rumor - 21/2.8 nonASPH

LUGS,

Just heard a rumor that Leica, after they brought out the 21/2.8 ASPH,
dumped the preceeding21/2.8 on the market to get rid of it - $ 1495 with
finder or such - but that some of them are made up out of left over,
perhaps, reject parts for the 21/2.8 from the Canadian plant???? I have
no idea if there is any truth in this, I certainly hope not 
 - but I also wonder at the low price???   Does anyone know anything
about this???
