On "never-ready cases": for those that separate, leaving
the bottom half on when you're out and about can save the
body from a fair number of nicks and dings. The leather can
also be less slippery than the metal/vulcanite on a hot,
sweaty day, too. The M3 is such a pain to load that taking
the case bottom isn't thta big a deal. The top half of most
cases can be used as a coaster for your favorite libation!
               :-)

On dealers: they all have bad days/bum salesmen, etc. My
wife had such an awful experience buying my Xmas present
(Canon Elan IIe, 28-105, 100-300 -- she insisted that I have
a 'real camera' with AF) from B&H that she refused to do
business with them (they wanted an extra $100 to ship it in
time for Xmas, plus the fedEx charge!), yet several folks on
the list have recommended them on occasion. I've dealt over
the years with most of the Leica specialists and I've had
good dealings with all of them, but Tamarkin is the one I
like best (now if they'd only answer their emails . . . .)

               Bill
