Folks:

As I dig back thru the years, much is revealed!

In August, 1969, I purchased a Leicaflex SL - MOT w/ motor, bellows extension-R with
Makro Elmar f4/100mm lens, and 7 other lenses from FOTO KOCH at the Frankfurt
airport. Paid DM 10,876 (US$ 2,719). (per invoice)

Using a WWW inflation adjustment program at
URL: http://woodrow.mpls.frb.fed.us/economy/calc/cpihome.html

I learned that in today's US$s, that would be US$11,928.00 !!!

So don't go wild when offered big money for equipment purchased many years ago.
Inflation is insidious!!
