Hello Gabe,

I did a lot of research of my own for this subject and my conclusion are:
Nikon Super Coolscan LS1000 and Polaroid 35Plus

both offer 36 bit scanning (12 bits per RGB color), are fast, sharp, and
offer excellent software (especialy the nikon). If you're looking for
something cheaper, the Coolscan LS-20 is also good, but not as good as the
1000.
