These are 'repairable' but generally are replaced by a rebuilt prism assembly. You've got me curious: in recent years, I've had an M4 prism replaced (same as the M2, M4-P, M4-2, and M6, so that's not a biggie, just expensive) and a IIIf bd prism rebuilt.
