This is for 'walking around " shooting and daytrips. For longer trips or commercial jobs, it depends what you are aiming for. Ideal package for me has always been the 21/35/50/90. with at least 1 M6 body and the rest M2 or M3. But i am a confirmed Tri-X shooter and the 2nd and 3rd body are mostly for convinience. If I have to shoot color/black&white i usually load the M6 with color and the non-metered bodies with Tri-X ( by now i am fairly confident in judging light with XXX). The 24/2,8 has somehow taken over from the 21 at the moment and my current pack are 24/2,8. 35/2 Asph, 50/2 and a 90/2,8. The 24/2,8 sits on an old M2 as does the 35/2 with the 50/2 or 90/2,8 on a M6. My 21/2,8 Asph is currently being converted to "goggles" and wont be back for a week or two and then I will probably put that on an another M6. I always found that most accidents with cameras happen when you change lenses, you drop lenses, bodies or whatever. The less I have to fiddle with lensmounts or loose pieces of equipment, the less likely you are in dropping them. For travel I use the same kit. 24/35/50/90, with the 90 mostly stuck in a pocket and if i really want to go light you can survive with a 35/M2 and a 90/M6 combination ( the M6 then also works as a narrow angle lightmeter). It is better to be sparse with equipment and to be able to move freely, then to have everything along. Too frequently I have seen people with the content of an entire camera store slung around the neck and draped from shoulders, they are stumbling along and after a couple of hours you can make a low bid offer for that equipment and probably get it too. I would recommend the 2nd body, a used M4P or M4-2 ( lacks the collectors cache, thus reasonably priced, and loads the same way as the M6) and wait for someone to sell his/her 24/2,8 once the novelty has worn off. The 35/50/90 can handle most situations anyway. The 21 or 24 is icing on the cake.! Tom A
