The advantage of that is that it should be possible to ameliorate the problem
I have with both grips (and, I suppose, the sainted M body it-very-self), that
the lower-right-rear (as the camera's facing away from you) edge, which
sockets into the right hand's palm, is an uncomfortably sharp right-angle.
The anodized aluminum aftermarket grip has its coating which would be
impossible or a huge hassle to repair; the plastic grip should be plastic
through-and-through, and I plan someday to take a Dremel to it for a bit of
Novak-like smoothing.
