Met Carmel (Megaflorist of the Universe) in '88 and married her in '90. Moved to Cork, Ireland in '93, and would never move back. Graduated in History from Cambridge, UK in '66. M.A. (Cantab.) 1970. Spent 22 years in the advertising business, most of them as CEO of an Ogilvy & Mather agency in the UK. Semi-retired in '92. Now running an Irish consultancy company helping small business start-ups, and crunching numbers in Ireland's largest single site flower business. First Leica: III with Summar in '64 - staffer for the University rag, and publicist for a Cambridge rock group. Current Leica count: M3 (2), M2, CL, IIIfBD, IIIa, Standard. Glass from 21/3.4 SA up 280 Telyt. Also into classic Nikon SLRs and lenses. Many of these can be seen on our home site. Latest acquisition: Canon 7 LTM with 50/1.2 (the 'LTM M4' according to Stephen Gandy) Macintosh fan at work and and at play. 'Digital darkroom' runs under Photoshop on a PowerMac with 144Mb of RAM at home. Avid sampler of the 'black stuff', with a leaning towards the local Cork brew, Murphy's Stout.
