I'm a lot richer now of (?) information, and appreciate your experiences and advice very much. I don't know anything about 35 mm Zeiss lenses, but I have some experience with Leitz glass: In my perception, the 35 mm (2nd & 3rd version) and 90 mm (both versions) Summicrons are cold (blue-white) lenses, while the 50 mm Summilux (2nd version) is a neutral to warm lens (with a very slight yellow-red pronounciation). The current 50 mm Summicron (and the 1.4/35 asph Summilux) is a neutral lens, with a stronger color saturation than the earlier versions (specially in low light condition/ shadow details). The older Summicrons, which I have (rigid 1962, coll 1954, 1953) or had (black 2nd version), rather show pastel/ crayon (?) colors under low light condition with a slight cold (blue-white and/or blue-green) tendency. In general, the three Summicrons (at least the older ones) built a common blue-white color "family" in my perception, while both Summilux's agreed to a more warm color unit. Besides, my (very few) test pix with the Noctilux showed a very different color management (yellow-white _and_ pastel/ crayon between f1 to f4). If I understood your descriptions correct, the current 75 mm Summilux would rather tend to be in one line with the color neutrality of the current 50 mm Summicron or 35 mm asph Summilux, than with the "warmer" (older) Summilux's.
