Pardon my noseyness, but why can't they pay? Problem with the deal is 
that you say they *owe* you US$87.00. If you take books worth that, 
they'll still be into you by the amount of their profit on the books. 
Or, are they willing to sell the books to you at their cost? 

Even so, why *can't* they pay?
