Of course it it is the glass that counts to form an image and the camera is only a box to hold, trasport and expose that image. But like people those boxes come in different sizes, strengths, aesthetics & other accouterments that allows them to perform in ways that others can't. Question for all the technical minded Luggers: IF YOU WERE TO MAKE A PERFECT LENS - that is - one without any aberations at all = would that lens have no bokeh regardless of if it was a Leica, Canon, Nikon or whatever OR is the bokeh caused by those chromozones that we call aberations? **************************** Marvin Moss ****************************************************************************** **** In a message dated 97-10-16 00:08:57 EDT, you write: << It IS the glass that counts. You can put a piece of junk Sigma 70-210 2.8 in front of a Canon EOS1n, or Nikon F5, and you'll still get less than optimal pictures. You use a Leica R3 with a 70-180 Apo 2.8 zoom, and you get pure Leica. ============= Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO >>
