I'm not sure about the M5, but when I had my CL serviced since it had 
a minute ding in it, I asked about a replacement. I was quoted $100 
installed. The CL s/n is on the flash shoe. If the s/n is likewise on 
it replacement should not be an issue. If it is on the cover?
