"We could use a 75mm 2.8 Summicron -- >which in my opinion would be lighter, smaller, better working depth of >field and definitely less obtrusive." I shoot the 75/1.4 in available light when I need the speed, but am tending to rely on the 35/2 and 50/2 most often when traveling light. At times, I'll use the 50mm lens and frame the shot with the 75mm frame lines, cropping later if possible. Even if a slower, smaller 75mm alternative was available, I don't think I'd be able to leave the 50 at home. I've tried on many occaissions and always miss it. I do find 90mm very useful and would really like an M body with greater viewfinder magnification and TTL metering. The size of the 90mm image field relative to the rangefinder patch in M cameras other than the M3 is a tad small for my taste. - Kevin kburke@iterated.com
