Your best bet is to rent for a week a system similar to what you have 
in Nikon and shoot side by side.  Talk to your local dealer and 
through the dealer to the local rep who should be perhaps be able to 
come up with a loaner, as an option. 

There are no cheap Leicas, unfortunately,  and any buying and selling 
would probably be more expensive than a weeks rental.
