The time to go to the Sonora Desert is in early >spring. > >Roger, please enlighten us on why LHSA chose October. Yep, you're missing something, Chris. October is delightful here. Even if the daytime temps. reach into the high 90's to the low 100's (and they do occasionally in Oct.) the relative humidities have have returned to the single digits again as they were prior to the monsoon season. Besides most of the LHSA activities are inside and air conditioning abounds. Ask on here in late October how the attendees liked Tucson in October. I think you'll be surprised. Chris, the state in Mexico is Sonora; the desert is the Sonoran. Same as I am an American; I was born in America (North, that is). -- Roger Beamon, Natural History Interpreter & Photographer Docent: Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum INTERNET: beamon@primenet.com
