How about 90 Summicron for $300 new? That's what they were selling for in
the mid-70s. And I remember when the 35 Summilux R came out, $800. And the
280 Apo Telyt f/2.8 when it was introduced ('84) was $2,200. I bought one in
1987 for $2,800, in mint condition. Of course, a Nikon 300 2.8 at the time
was $1,600. They're now pushing $5,000.
