As far as I know, even sugar is not allowed. Nevertheless, the brewing act is not a law anymore because the European Union has cancelled it. But all German brewerys still obey to this rule on a voluntary basis.

"Jever" can be bought in many German cities now, at least in the Northern part of the country. If you're lucky you'll also get in Solms. Hesse (the part of Germany where Leica is located) is not very famous for its beer compared to Northern Germany, the Rhine/Ruhr region, or Bavaria. But you will surely find something nice to drink there too...

Not a very Leica specific theme? OK, I'll shut up.
