(They really are unrelated; my Rokkor 28 selected the wrong frame until I had the mount modified.) The suggested technique would only work, it seems to me, if you metered through a 50mm lens, then made the picture (using that information) with a 35mm lens -- but frankly, I can't imagine doing that on a regular basis! I invite correction if I'm misinterpreting something! Flicking the frameline selector doesn't see to change the metering at all. I don't understand how this would work.
