Subject: M6 shutter release problem?

I have a M6 I bought used (it's in very nice condition though). Since
the first day I got it, the shutter release button is acting a bit
strange. If I press the shutter release down button very slowly (as
slow as possible) the shutter would not be released at the same button
position as if I press the shutter release button down faster. In fact,
the release button would have to be pressed "all the way donw" to a
point that I'll have to use some brutal force for the shutter to be
triggerred at the looooooowest shutter release button position.

The reason this bothers me is that when I am using pretty low shutter
speed handheld, I'll have better chance to get a sharp picture by
pressing it slowly. But this problem would cause exactly the opposite
since I'll have to press it real hard to get the shutter to fire.

Anybody seen this problem? Is it normal for M6 or is it a real problem?
Thanks.

Cheng-Lee
