Hi Mel!

Check out the French Angenieux 35-70mm f2.5-3.3 zoom lens also! It's one of
my favorite lens and my only zoom lens for the Leicaflex SL2 and R5.

It's not as compact and light-weight as the Leica 28-70mm f3.5-4.5
Vario-Elmar (Sigma to Leica specification), but on the other hand it is not
as bulky and heavy as the more well known Angenieux 45-90mm f2.8 zoom lens.

The Angenieux 35-70mm f2.5-3.3 zoom lens has separate control rings for
focusing and setting the focal lenght.

Maximum aperture: f2.5 at 35mm, f2.8 at 50mm, f3.3 at 70mm
Minimum aperture: f22
Optical construction: 11 elements
Min focusing distance: 1 meter at 35mm, 46 cms from 50 to 70mm
Macro: 1:5.6
Length: 136mm
Weight: 525 grams
Max diameter: 71mm
Supplied items: Removable square hood, 58mm UV filter, intermediate
                        filter holder

Hope this helps. :-)
