(no, there's no fungus growing in it :^) The camera is Japanese, relatively well made and appears to be modeled after an M3. It has a 45mm f2.8 lens, lever advance, and an iris shutter + flash sync. I took it apart and cleaned the viewfinder and what lens elements I could get to and it makes wonderful snapshots (although distant shots suffer) As much as I cleaned the viewfinder it has this greenish cast that is a killer on the eye after a while, I've noticed the same effect on the Nikon S rangefinder. I've seen two more of these cameras at a flea market that are newer, and have much improved viewfinders. Does anyone know anything about Petri Cameras? Thanks, Mark Eastman meastman@adobe.com
