I have used my pre digital lenses on my digital M’s and see zero reason to upgrade to the latest versions. I have only 2 lenses the have the 6 bit code. As to Monochrom M cameras, I use the M246 Monochrom and love the images it produces.

When I had my Monochrome I used it frequently with my old lenses and I lked very much the results. The modern lenses are for my personal preferences too sharp = too digital, ewith the old lenses you have a better approach to the traditional look of the film. Of course everyone of us has his preferrences, I think you are a person who like the classical look.
