[Leica] I'm Back Roll

IMHO, it is a solution looking for a nonexistent problem! Of course, YMMV.
I cannot see the point of it, except as a toy. If I want to shoot digital,
I would just buy a digital camera. There is no shortage of relatively
inexpensive adapters to marry your Leica lenses to any mirrorless body
nowadays - even adding autofocus if you wish.
If I were you, I would just buy an older used Fuji body (only because you
mentioned APS-C; otherwise, Nikon, Sony, or Canon will do just as well) and
a Leica M to Fuji X adapter to get a far more capable and reliable piece of
kit.
Cheers
