[Leica] IMG: Nathan's PAW 14: some good weather and some bad weather

Strange to see Spain not wreathed in sunshine, Nathan, and Tabarca looks
to be a short swim away. Rain is a great for clearing a view.  Over here
it's possible to see Wales which is just over 100k (60 miles) away
clearly from the top of Killiney Hill which is only a couple of miles
from my house - given the right conditions.

The best view I ever got of it was picking fraughans (intensely sweet
bilberries) with the family on the side of the Sugarloaf mountain in
Wicklow, one July back in the 80s. A few miles away, a rain storm
cleared over the Irish Sea, and this odd rift opened through the clouds
which seems to act like a giant lens. You could easily make out the
villages on the Lleyn peninsula. Of course, I didn't have a camera with
me. Needless to say, despite all my years of mountain running and
walking, I never saw the like of it again.

This provided for some nice photos—bad weather is more photogenic than good weather. But in the end I welcome the return of sunshine in the second half of the week, which allowed me to do long bike rides and enjoy the city, It’s all here:
