I landed at JFK Christmas Eve, picked up the rental car and drove to my son’s home in Weehawken, NJ, staying in a hotel 5 minutes walk from his apartment on the waterfront. While walking from the hotel to his place in the evening, I enjoyed this nice view of Manhattan (this is also the view from our room):
