It looks like you really have established contact with the birdie!
Speaking of birds, yesterday while cycling I saw a hawk flying across the road I was on, perhaps 20 meters in front of me, with a small hare in its talons. No chance to get a pic, obviously, but I enjoyed this glimpse of wild nature.
