[Leica] Nathan's PAD 14/1/2020: two old guys cycling uphill

My best friend Lars was visiting me this past week. He had been down with a bout of pneumonia, and I have my lingering rheumatoid arthritis, but that did not stop us from cycling up to the Puerto de la Carrasqueta, at 1020 meters above sea level, yesterday. Five images:

Venta Teresa is popular among motorcyclists, and the proprietors have set up signs like this one:

With good reason; I had not been up there for several months, and there were several new memorials along the road, like this one:

There is a reason why the Guardia Civil has begun to patrol more intensively on weekend on those mountain roads.

After arriving at the top, Lars and I took the customary cheese selfies before heading back home, 35 km, mostly downhill:
