Speaking of quince, there is a movie by Spanish director Victor Erice called El Sol Del Membrillo (English title: Dream of Light) about a painter, Antonio Lopez Garcia, trying to capture a quince tree on canvas. This movie is just as highly regarded as his most well known movie, The Spirit of the Beehive.
