[Leica] Nathan's PAD 8/2/2019: testing a new lens on the beach

I do not buy much new equipment these days—the stuff I have is good enough for my needs, whether we are talking computers or tablets/phones or photo equipment. I do buy occasional bits and pieces related to my cycling, especially things that wear out, like clothes. But this week I bought my first piece of photo kit in at least year, a 50-230mm zoom for my Fuji. I am going to Romania next week, my first visit to that country, and I wanted to travel light. This means the Fuji X-E2 with two zooms—the 18-55mm I already had, the new 50-230mm, and an f2/23mm lens for low light situations.
The new zoom arrived yesterday at my office, so on my way home I stopped at the central beach of Alicante to do some lens testing, in the way I normally test lenses—just by taking pictures. I think the result is quite satisfactory, and I look forward to walking around Bucharest with a light camera bag next week. Here are five images from Playa de Postiguet.
