[Leica] Photo-editing software recommendations?

Adobe Photoshop elements is a robust editor with lots of solid features
that can be understood by most, and a few tricks that don’t require lots of
work to learn. It is a good value for someone not editing every day.
I’ve been using actual adobe Photoshop for about twenty five years, since
before it had a number, just a Mac and a win version.
While the learning curve can be awesome, you don’t have to know how to do
everything to do the things you want. It is a complete toolbox, but if you
only need to use a single tool, you will find it there, maybe three ways to
do any job.
If you buy the subscription, it is always up to date, pretty much hands
off. The set also includes Lightroom, good for lots of things, but most of
the actual editing tools are in both. Lightroom is great to keep your
files in order, but that takes some understanding of the process. These
two products are lots cheaper if you have access to academic credentials.
If you’re a serious photographer, the workflow of the adobe products is
similar to that of an actual darkroom.
Other products mostly seem to be attempts to clone adobe, or convoluted
works of geekery that may or not be beneficial to your output.
I’m sticking with Adobe Photoshop, because it works for me, and I know how
to use what I need from it.
Hope this helps
