I like your playing with shadows.  Consider bringing the shadows down a bit
do more contrast from light to dark.  It appears you visit your friends
shop/foundry often so print some proof prints and look at them for a few
days/weeks to refine what is drawing you to the glass and shadows and
refine the images as you see fit.

I see great potential here.
