[Leica] Question about photography business

Setting up my books my first year in my photo studio I learned about income and expenses. And Taxes.
There is so much stuff you need to get at the end of the year it's easy to get some more gear or that money just goes to Uncle Sam.
It makes sense they tell you can only do that so many years in a row. So you have to respect that. And half the time it's not like I had tons of money anyway to start spending so my expenses equals my income. Paying taxes is kind of like paying bills it makes you feel like a successful person. Puts me in a good mood!

I'm not Doug or Bob but since nobody else has answered, here is my
experience with setting up a photography business in South Carolina. It is
not complicated in SC. You don't even have to register except to register
your name to keep anyone else from using it. A sole proprietorship is the
way to go. You can set up an LLC or S corporation but that would depend on
the laws in California which might be wacky.

The best thing to do would be to pay a CPA who knows the laws in California
and can advise you. It would be worth the fee to get it right!

    Good luck,
