I believe I prefer their older type of architecture to the globbish style also displayed, whatever the historical connotations. 
Just as with chain-stores, it just could be anywhere in the world these days :-( 
And I like to discover the variety of the world and its populations and cultures.

But your photos serve both styles very well, no fear :-)
