Hi Nathan,
I know you are somewhat the  same in feelings for your daughter as I was my two in their younger lives and working or studying away from hometown.
I was much happier even when they together or individually, when they were home for a visit or thought they were going to stay home or nearby. :-)
But finally it was Irene and I who moved away from them out to Victoria. Of course lots of visits over the years and the girls are now "my girls" whom it is only visits again, but the years kind of make it liveable. :-)

Thanks Tina! Yes, Monica decided last winter that the one place she felt at home was here in Alicante. Between this and the Brexit vote I guess she did not feel as good in Cardiff as she had earlier. So she applied to transfer to our university here, and much to my surprise she was accepted. My doubts were mainly about whether her Spanish was good enough, but evidently it is. So yes, now we have a half-full nest. Moses is living in NYC with his Brazilian girlifriend, continuing the family tradition of expanding the gene pool.
