Hi Don,
I never cease to be amazed at the hundreds, nay, thousands of human beings
playing with these strange machines daily!
I understand that two people will be out to dinner at a very fine dinner,
yet spend a large part of time "talking with others while sitting together
closely at their dining table? Unbelievable, such complete idiocy!!!!!!!!
So? Where is the human race going regarding "human being talking to human
being???????"
I have seen photos showing children on a drive through new parts of their
country where they've never been and looking at these machines rather than
looking at the incredible countryside where most likely they shall never
ever visit again? Unbelieveable?
I understand when? " A half dozen guys sit down in a restaurant or a pub.
They stack their phones in the middle of the table so nobody starts playing
with the damn thing, "AND?" to stop the "phone babble?" the first person
reaching and answering or using their "babble phone???" Pays bill for the
table purchases!"
My re-action? YES BY ALL MEANS EVERYTIME!
And I don't care! "WHY?" Well with these damn machines they are
destroying human to humans conversation and or observation while travelling!
I suppose there will be the usual question to me?
"DON'T YOU OWN ONE?? NOPE!!! And I don't think I've missed anything. Other
than when my lousy ears with hearing aids :-( missing a voice!
cheers,
Dr. Ted Grant O.C.
:-)

Good morning to all on this fine northern hemisphere fall day.
Today I have four images as part of my project showing the impact of cell
phones on civil discourse or public interactions;
First is a typical breakfast scene we have all been witness to:

Second, another scene that we have all witnessed when families congregate
together:

Third is probably a weak single image but fits in a larger group of images
showing people barricading themselves away from whatever;

Last, we return to The Bean where a lunch group meets for conversation;

enjoy!
All the best.
