Exactly what George said. This is a beautiful image, regardless of place.

As for the news, I am fairly sure that what I see on the BBC is a more accurate reflection of the overall situation in Syria than what the Syrians themselves see. To call it a sorry mess would be an understatement. I am writing this at a hotel in Brussels, the sun is shining and there is a military vehicle parked on the square below to try to protect me from people who have returned from Syria with stupid ideas.
