Just by way of additional comment on the camera itself Bob.
The function controls and menus appear derived from the S system but are
refined further. So if you arrive at the SL from the S it makes a lot of
sense.
I never heard of Floating ISO either until you mentioned it and I looked it
up! Its applicable to the 24-90 so should be on instead of auto when using
that I guess.
I suspect or rather speculate that any next S body menu will be a lot like
the SL (and including the EVF?)  That's another topic.

As for the Gesture Control that came from the T/L, I suppose, that is way
too clever for me. I like buttons.

Storing your SL most used or common settings as a selectable profile could
be helpful, the local rep showed me. Now I really should get around to that
too!
