It all started with a bunch of scrap merchants raising
the Argentine flag on South Georgia.
For a change, the Wikipedia article seems to be pretty
precise.

What would you have Thatcher do? Just roll over and let Galtieri have his way? That was not the kind of leader she was, as the Argentines found out.

How ironic that he now accepts a knighthood (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire)! 'Wars' and 'Empires' have gone hand-in hand throughout history. If you want to put an end to war, how about questioning the concept of the Empire? It's disappointing he hasn't done this.

I have met Don a couple of times and he is a difficult man to warm to, but this honour is well deserved and long overdue. A great photographer receiving a long overdue award.
