[Leica] What would Blackstone do with the money from the sale of Leica stock?

The city in Illinois in which which my sister lives sold their public water 
supply and system to a German corporation in a move promoted by 
conservatives to reap the benefits of the magic of privitizing government 
functions.  Prices have gone up annually and service has decline. Oops.

I’d go a step farther. National treasures and patrimony should not be sold 
to any private entity (but especially not to a vulture-capital firm). This 
creeping privatization of government functions and public property, from the 
military to toll roads, cannot in the end be good. And not only because the 
trend is the result of economic desperation and political malpractice and 
cowardice.
