[Leica] Nathan's PAD 22/4/2017: a trip down memory lane

My parents used to live in Brøndby Strand, a suburb south-west of Copenhagen along the coast. The next suburb (further south) is called Vallensbæk, and when my mother was alive, I often went for walks there with her during my visits. Yesterday, I stopped by there with my sister.

For rereference: back in April 2001, when my mother died, I posted this image as my PAW that week, calling it simply “Absence”:

This was the very spot we visited yesterday.

First, the view from Vallensbæk towards Brøndby Strand. My parents lived in one of the tall apartment buildings in the background. My mother used to refer to them jokingly as “my Manhattan”:
