A common sight in Alicante—a group of English women are having a good time with what in Spanish is called “despedida de soltera”. They were happy to pose for me. I was at the airport to pick up my friend Lars, arriving from Denmark. It is pictures like this one that I use to explain why I ALWAYS carry a camera:
