Yes, I have had similarly good experiences with Amex, including having a replacement card delivered to my hotel in Amsterdam after losing one in a grocery store there. While I have not been a victim of fraud, there have been a number of mistaken charges by (legitimate) merchants over the years, and Amex has invariably fixed the problem every time, as soon as I called.
