Subject: [Leica] Early Winter Trees Reflected on White's Pond

I’m not sure if this image works or not. I was looking for a “Monet-like” feeling. Abstract at first glance and then making sense as waterscape with early winter foliage reflections from unseen trees on the shore over the lily pads. I’ve tried to crop out some elements from the bigger frame but I really dont like doing that as I originally composed through the viewfinder what we see here.

Is the image too busy? Too confusing?

Hi Jack,
First reaction was it was too busy with bits all over every where? Then one has another look trying to see "Is there something here that works?" And you make the effort to find something?

Sorry me old Son "I'd bet you were being affected by whatever "little colour" was present at the moment? Even though you weren't aware at the time. WHY?

Well at times we are taken by what we see and because we "see in colour?" We are more inclined to go with what we see. But then in the "computer darkroom" we produce the scene in B&W and????

"Oh dear me it looks kind of confusing?"

Don't feel bad as someone else may very well show I'm wrong in comment! I trust that isn't the case? But if so, then we both learn something!

cheers,
Dr.ted :-)
