Hi John,
Thanks. I have seen that thread before. Hence my curiosity. I am not interested in using the adapter for short focal lengths, as Leica make lenses to suit (if you can afford them). But there is a distinct lack of longer focal lengths, which I do use. Thus I wanted to know if the 280/4 would focus at a reasonable distance to shoot motorsport or aircraft. Also i anted to know if the 180/2 would focus to enable me to do concert and stage shots.
Doug Herr, of course, is interested, as he is, like me, one of the last few remaining DMR shooters. Hence I have corresponded with him as well, off list.
